Vintage / Retro, Toddler, VANTA Footed 2 PC Flannel Pajamas / PJ's Size 3, 1950's
I came
across some Vintage Baby / Toddler Clothes while going through some
boxes that were stored in my mothers attic. They were packed with great
care as they were ironed and folded. They were either mine or one of my
brothers so I know these date some where from 1953 to 1961.
I think these would be
described as being in Very Nice / Good Condition as they exhibit hardly
any signs of wear. They were all closely inspected and no rips, tears,
holes, spots, or stains were observed. All buttons, snaps and loops are
intact. They have been laundered to insure that any dust that may have
settled has been removed.
These are made out of a White Flannel Cotton
& with Yellow, Blue & Green Flowers. They show light to moderate
wear but there are no rips, tears, holes or stains to be found.

The Top has Long Sleeves and it has 3 snap
closures down the front & then for attaching the top to the bottom,
along the waist area, there is one snap in front and three snaps in the
back.
The Bottoms are Footed with the back of the
waist being elastic and, along the waist, there is a snap in front and
three in the back for attaching the bottoms to the top.
These have a Tag that reads Vanta, Size 3 Yrs, Weight 32 Lbs, Height 35 1/2 In.
They seem to me to be a little on the small size for a 3 so I am providing the following measurements.
The top has a length of 12 1/2" (from the base
of the collar in the back to the bottom of the tail) and a width across
the back shoulders of 9" (in between the seams of the sleeves) and a
width across the front of the tail of 8 1/2".
The bottom have a length of 19 1/2" (from the
waist to just before the heel) and an inseam of 10". The
unstreched width across the front of the waist is 8 5/8 and when
stretched it's 10 3/4" so the waist is from 17 1/2" to 20 1/4".
All in all a Cute Pair of Vintage Footed Cotton Flannel PJ's from the 1950's for that nice & warm secure sleepy feeling.
